Pumpland Inflatable Silicone Product Care Guide
Whether it’s your inflatable headpiece, full-body suit, paw mitts, or foot covers—keeping your Pumpland silicone inflatables clean, durable, and ready for use is simple. Here’s how to care for them:
● Start by rinsing the surface with lukewarm clean water to wash away surface dirt, dust, or light debris.
● Apply a small amount of mild, fragrance-free bath gel (avoid harsh soaps, alcohol, or abrasive cleaners—they can damage the silicone’s elasticity). Gently wipe the surface, then rinse thoroughly until all soap is removed.
● Pat dry with a soft, lint-free cloth (we include one with your order!). Silicone may feel softer when wet—this is normal and won’t affect its quality.
If you’re taking photos or want a polished look, try this after cleaning:
- Once fully dry, apply a tiny amount of silicone-safe gloss oil (like Vivishine) to a soft cloth, then gently buff the surface. It’ll smooth out minor dust visibility and add a subtle shine, making your inflatable look crisp on camera.
The key to keeping your inflatables intact? Gentle use—especially when inflating or adjusting:
- Avoid over-inflation: Inflate slowly, pausing to check the tension. Stop when the silicone feels “firm but flexible”—if it starts to feel rigid, stretched thin, or makes a tight “squeaking” sound, you’ve inflated enough. Over-inflation can cause seams to tear.
- Use the right tools: Stick to hand pumps or gentle manual inflation. Never use high-pressure tools (like air compressors) unless specified—they can force too much air too quickly.
- Be gentle with the air valve: Don’t pull, twist, or yank the valve when inflating/deflating. When inserting a pump nozzle, press lightly to avoid damaging the valve seal (a damaged seal can cause air leaks).
- No excessive stretching: Avoid pulling or stretching the silicone forcefully, especially around seams or the valve area. Stretching beyond the material’s natural give can weaken it over time.
- After use, deflate completely first: Press out air slowly (don’t squeeze roughly) to avoid straining seams. Then repeat the basic cleaning steps: rinse, mild soap, pat dry.
- Let it air dry fully in a cool, shaded area—avoid direct sunlight, heaters, or damp spaces (heat and moisture can weaken silicone’s elasticity over time).
- Once dry, fold it loosely (don’t crease tightly or bunch into sharp folds) and store in a sealed plastic bag (included with your purchase) to block dust and lint. Keep it away from sharp objects (like keys or jewelry) that could puncture the surface.
If static causes hair or dust to stick, spritz a small amount of gentle anti-static spray onto a cloth (don’t spray directly on the silicone!), then lightly dab the surface. It’ll repel debris without damaging the material.
Treat your inflatables with care—slow inflation, gentle handling, and proper storage will keep them stretchy, durable, and ready for all your adventures.
